Our consultants have many years of experience working within the Federal, Provincial and Municipal Government arena. We are familiar with the culture, policies and processes, and legislation governing Recorded Information Management. Some of the senior people in the firm have been federal or municipal civil servants at some point in their careers.

The personal and professional relationships we have built with our government clients enable us to keep abreast of new developments and innovations and to pass on this knowledge to our clients.

We are actively involved in such professional associations as the Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA) and the Records Management Institute. Such involvement ensures our people are cognizant of developments in legislation, methods and technologies that relate to the management of recorded information. CONDAR associates serve on committees of ARMA International.

Project Management

Our consultants are experienced in managing projects, managing qualified resources within tight timeframes and budgets. Some of our consultants have managed multi-million dollar projects for geographically dispersed organizations. Many of these projects involved the selection and use of information technologies; while others have offered ongoing services to small and large organizations.

Knowledge of Records, Document and Knowledge Management Software

CONDAR is familiar with, and works with, the leading records, document and knowledge management software development companies in the Ottawa area. Many of these companies have an international presence in the records/document/knowledge management industry. Examples include: OpenText (the iRIMS product); Provenance (the Foremost product); and ByteQuest (the ByteQuest/ByteQuery products). Additionally, we have knowledge of products such as TRIM (Tower Software) and Correspondence Control Manager (Domus). CONDAR has, as a matter of corporate policy, remained independent in its relationships with all of these companies in order to serve our clients better. We regularly prepare RFI’s and RFP’s for clients, evaluate the responses from vendors, and then recommend the product, which is the best fit for the client’s needs.
